Surprise, surprise, Space Age Pop a plenty on this series, and v2 was my first acquisition from the bunch. Had for a cool $ (yes, that’s correct), Persuasive Percussion Volume 2 has gotten heavy play since the recent monetary transaction, and comes highly, no, intergalactic-ly recommended.

Much to my surprise Kesner's obscure Amore Latino is now one of my favorite exotica records. I can't say that this album features the "experimental" flourishes of Amor Latino, but the set is a terrific exotica or lounge styled "Island" record. For the most part the tone is soft as Kesner blends his Stradivarius with Charles Bud Dant's Orchestra.

The tracks aren't as scary as the cover – but the hi-fi package is a good one, and there's a few nice numbers, like "Theme From Richard Diamond" and "Scheherajazz" done by Skip Martin, and the cool "Fire Goddess" by the Surfmen. LP, Vinyl record album.

LP, Vinyl record album. 2. Roy Haynes & Quincy Jones percussion – and both artists sing a bit too – and the whole thing sounds a lot richer than just a keyboard and percussion album might, as the songs bristle with the energy of a small combo – mixing together elements of Latin jazz and other global elements, in a mode that's warmly.
