Roger Daltrey's first solo effort, "Daltrey", features eight songs written by Leo Sayer and David Courtney, and another two by Adam Faith and David Courtney, and one "bonus" track ("There Is Love"). This is an introspective album revolving around joint themes of loneliness and alienation/5(23).

this is a very nice thin sleeve lp compilation of daltreys solo stuff from his first 3 solo records from the s, this is a nice australian issue with a very nice unique sleeve, this was released in as daltrey at this time for whatever reason, the record companies worldwide where doing a lot of these compilation lps as rogers 70s solo stuff did not sell to well, i guess between 19in various markets .

In some circles, the album is referred to as a Rick Wakeman album, in others it's Roger Daltrey and to take it to the extreme, Daltrey and Wakeman As you might know, after "Tommy", movie director Ken Russell lured Roger Daltrey into yet another movie, "Lisztomania". I watched it - once. Once was "enough" to "appreciate" it.

As a teenage Who fan in , I eagerly bought this album from lead singer Roger Daltrey, expecting some Who-style rocking. What I got was an almost folky, country-ish album of acoustically-driven ballads written by the then unknown songwriting partnership of Dave Courtney and Leo Sayer (who would have their first album out later that year “Silverbird”, using some of this material)/5(21).
